Orphans and Widows Ministry – Mwika (HUYAMWI)
Orphans are defined as children who have lost either one or both parents. Some have no close relatives at all. Many of these orphans came about due to parental deaths caused by wild animal attacks, civil conflicts, or untreatable diseases such as HIV/AIDS.
This ministry was first introduced in the Diocese within six pilot parishes, and by 2017, five more parishes had joined. The program continues to grow successfully. The Diocese encourages all parishes to recognize and support orphans and widows within their congregations, for as we serve and care for them, God will bless us even more abundantly.
This is a diocesan program designed to renew the spiritual life of Christians through the Word of God, conferences, seminars, conventions, and prayer. Through this ministry, believers receive new strength, a renewed life, and self-awareness as they reflect on their Christian faith and conduct.
Function of the Revival Unit
To awaken and nurture Christians spiritually through the Word of God, conferences, seminars, conventions, and prayer.
